The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire held another press conference today announcing the awesome news that now a THIRD sitting state representative has flipped parties to the LPNH! The LPNH has already made two previous historic announcements earlier this year with state representatives Caleb Dyer of Pelham and Joseph Stallcop of Keene changing from republican and democrat respectively to the Libertarian Party of NH and then forming a Libertarian caucus in the state house for the first time in twenty years. Representative Brandon Phinney, who was elected in 2016 as a republican, said during his official announcement at today’s press conference, that the republican party leadership has been chastising their legislators for not following the leadership’s demands. "When the founders of New Hampshire developed the motto Live Free or Die, they did not leave a lot of wiggle room," he said to a crowd in Milford's town hall in his first New Hampshire appearance since announcing his run for president. "New Hampshire founders did not seek out the mushy middle. They admonished you to live free." The phrase wasn't merely used by the Kentucky Republican. He attempted to clarify where it came from. And it seems like he got a little mixed up along the way. We reached out to Paul's New Hampshire counselors, but didn't hear back. New Hampshire was one of the first 13 states and ratified the U.S. Constitution on J...
This time, it wasn’t even close. The senate of New Hampshire finally did the right thing after years of debate and failed votes. Yesterday, they voted overwhelmingly, 17-6 to decriminalize possession of up to 3/4ths of an ounce of cannabis and up to five grams of hashish (for people 21 and older)! That’s 74% of the NH senate voting in favor, after nearly 90% of the state house did the same. On the same day as the senate passing this bill, (HB 640) NH’s new governor issued a press release promising to sign the bill! (Something the last governor refused to do.) Back on May 3 2003, the Old Man of the Mounain of NH collapsed. For years, he was one of New England's best scenic wonders. Tourist would drive out to the White Mountain area to get a glimpse of the face in the sky. A decade later, the people of New Hampshire, got creative in restoring his profile back atop Cannon Mountain. Take a trip to Franconia Notch and see the current state.

Next day, the dawn was a brilliant, fiery red
And I wandered through the weird and lurid landscape
Of another planet for the vegetation
That gives Mars its red appearance had taken root on earth
As man had succumbed to the Martians
So our land now succumbed to the red weed
Wherever there was a stream, the red weed clung
And grew with frightening voraciousness
Its claw-like fronds choking the movement of the water
And then it began to creep like a slimy red animal
Across the land covering field and ditch, and tree
